Playdate: Spring Basket Block

The best thing about a basket is you get to fill it, and this time of year, your “filler” of choice might be cream-filled chocolate eggs and jelly beans (we prefer the tangy Starburst brand) or maybe some fresh spring flowers to herald the turn of the season.

Or you could just “fill” it with fun modern fabric cuts in this equally fresh basket block design from our own Scott Hansen, also of Blue Nickel Studios fame.

So go ahead, sew one or two blocks and whip up a cushion cover or a tablerunner. Maybe a set of spring placemats to grace you table this weekend? Whatever you create, feel free to share with other Q-bies on our Flickr page.  Have fun! We can’t wait to see what you make!
