Welcome to today’s stop on Victoria Findlay Wolfe’s 15 Minutes of Play — Improvisational Quilts Blog Tour! We were so excited to be asked by Victoria to be a part of this tour, and we gladly share with you this amazing book.
Take time to play. Make the time. Carve out 15 minutes a day. These are the concepts that make up Victoria’s emphasis in this book. This book is heavy on the inspiration angle and light on the Quilt Police angle to be sure. You really do need 15 Minutes of Play just for the freedom it offers alone.
Two of us were able to get that time carved out of our crazy holiday and production schedules to share a little of our playtime with you!
Megan Dougherty’s take on Victoria’s book:
Victoria’s book came along at just the right time for me because I have been lamenting how little sewing I’ve done over the last few months. Being Creative Director of Generation Q is challenging and rewarding, but the very activity that led me to this position has taken a far backseat to Photoshop and InDesign. In her book, Victoria talks about being a new mother and having very little time for her art, and how she set aside 15 minutes each day for creativity. Fifteen minutes seems like such a small amount when we are used to having hours at our disposal, but when I read that, I realized that taking on this role here at GenQ is much like the days when I had a newborn to care for, and back then, I would have benefited so much if I had found a way to pull out 15 minutes a day of creative play time. Even though my job is a creative one, I find that it’s a very different kind of creativity than that which I use to create quilts. At the same time, Victoria’s improvisational methods are even farther from the type of work I do every day, and so I was anxious to carve out my 15 minutes and have some playtime.
I decided to stick with a limited color palette of purple and orange, since I’ve recently been obsessed with that color combination but haven’t had a chance to play much with it. I grabbed several scraps from my scrap boxes and sat at the machine, sewing on bits and hacking off other bits, only letting myself briefly consider what would go where. Once I had a good size piece, I took my 6.5-inch square ruler and laid it down at random and trimmed my block. I think that next time, I would pay more attention to where I place the ruler so as not to lose some of the smaller bits in the seam allowance, but otherwise I’m very please with my result and I hope to continue the process until I have a collection of these blocks that I can use in a larger project.
Scott Hansen’s Vibe on 15 Minutes:
Oh I was all over this book when I saw it. I met Victoria at Spring Quilt Market a few years back, but I hadn’t heard of her before. When I got home from that Market, I went to her blog and needless to say we are great friends now for we just think so much alike when it comes to color and fabric play! I have always been a big fan of using up scraps and have done so in many ways over the years. For this blog tour I decided to snag some of the scraps off my cutting table and make up some “playtime” fabric as Victoria does in this book. Some of these I actually had started before I even read her book! I have a small little project planned out for my own blog‘s stop on this Tour coming up on December 6th. So you can see what I manage to “do” with the play time results there as well as enter to win a copy of the book again.
I think my favorite part of Victoria’s book, besides all the stunning visual inspiration, would be the storyline behind her path into quilting via her grandmother’s style. This style of “crazy” quilting is nothing new, but every generation has a new twist on it making it fresh and “new”. That’s something we firmly believe around here. “Modern” quilting and “Traditional” quilting are Sisters of the same Mother and though there is a bit of quibbling and times between the two, Sisters they will always be.
To Win your own copy of 15 Minutes of Play leave us a comment telling us your favorite way to play with fabric, and we will pick a winner on December 12.
US winners will win a hard copy of the book and international winners will win an electronic copy of the book directly from C&T.
Here’s the whole list of stops on the tour. Make sure you stop and visit them all to increase your chance to win! Good Luck!

I like Victoria´s work and try make fabric as she learn me. But still I prefer scraps strings, I cut 2″ string which I use in quilts, thiner I also use. I try to use whole piece of fabric, does not depend on size.
I would love to win a copy of this book, I am sure it will inspire me a lot!
I have done Mile a Minute blocks and “making my own fabric” from crumbs. I’d like to try some of those other Fifteen min. to play ideas. I have the scraps for sure.
Since I’m retired I don’t really have to carve out time to quilt, but I do need to carve out time for creativity! It’s been the missing ingredient in my life lately. I’d love to win a copy of the book. Thanks for the giveaway.
My favorite way to play is trying something new. I’m much more curious than creative.
My fabric playing usually is auditioning fabric choices. I’m not very good at just sewing bits together – I think I really NEED this book 🙂
COMMENT #7
Lately i’ ve just been laying out a bunch a fabrics on my design wall, standing back, observing, moving things aromd, cutting sewing and repeating the process. Eventually something interestng starts to evolve and off i go.
With three children under 4 and a new house my sewing time has all but disappeared. This looks like the perfect book to get me going again. Thank you for sharing! Maybe Santa will put one under the tree for me…
COMMENT #9
I love to already have items cut out ahead of time, that way I can go and sew for 15 minutes at a time. It adds up in the long run on getting things done. Thank you for the chance to win this wonderful book.
I make crumb squares and use them to make wonky stars.
I am really not very good with color. I make scrap quilts but its is usually “everything but the kitchen sink type”. I throw most every kind of fabric together. I love seeing old fabrics in my quilts. They bring back memories. Thanks for the chance to win.

I’m not a very creative person but I do love making string blocks (I learned this year) and are making them while working on UFOs. This book looks like so much fun!! I hope I can win one, but, if not, I will be buying it. Thanks for the chance to win.
This book looks very interesting, I love to get use of scraps!

I have just made my first “impov” (ish) quilt. It was so freeing to just grab random scraps and make it work in the block. I want to do more like that. This book looks so fun and just what I need to inspire me to make more improve quilts!
I love fabric, I play with it almost everyday. I am more of follow a pattern girl. I love this book!
Just sit and pick up any size piece, sew, and do it again, and again, and again!
I’m kind of stuck and that’s what intrigues me about this book. I think it would help jumpstart me. But I do love making string blocks.
My favorite is an improvised-liberated log cabin–I could make them forever!
My favorite way to play with fabric is co-ordinating fabrics into color schemes
I seem to have dificulty dong scrappy. There is just no orginizaton there. But I am trying.
My favorite way to play with fabric is to make artist teddy bears and their friends….but another favorite way is to watch my very very busy daughter find sometime to play herself. She is the development director of a non-profit and finds very little time to play… I’d like to win this book for HER so that she’d be encouraged to find time for herself!
Hope I win!
I love to play with color combos — would love to win a book and have fun!
Thanks, Jeanne
COMMENT #23
Lately I have been playing with monochromatic color schemes. Glad the blog tour brought me to your site!
I love to grab a piece from my stash and pull out my scrap bin to use with it. This sound’s like its right up my sewing alley.
Ooh, I hope I win. Thanks.
I love Victoria’s work and methodology to quilting and cleaning the sewing room. I struggle with that part!
My daughter loves to pull scraps of fabric out of my various boxes and play with them. Sometimes I’ll have her put stuff together on a sheet of paper, cover it with plastic wrap, the scan it into my computer. I’ll use that scan to try to re-create her “block” using actual sewing instead of her preferred tape. Of course, she’s pestering me to start letting her use the machine, so soon I’ll just be able to let her make her own blocks.
I’m betting she ends up making prettier quilts than I do…
COMMENT #27
I like to sew scraps together and then the creative process begins! Thanks for the chance to win the book!
I hope I win…got 5 boxes of scrap that would make a great charity quilt!
Pat
COMMENT #29
Crazy piecing was my favorite back in the 1970s and I still do a lot of it. I like instant gratificationa and I think the 15 minutes of play is just that.
I’m loving this idea more and more. For one, I desperately need to make use of my scraps and stash. Secondly, I really need to break free of the planning I normally put into my quilts and just let the creative juices flow. This book seems like just the right nudge to free me up for 15 minutes of play a day.
I love playing with color and pattern. Using Victoria’s methods allows me to try many different combinations. I have been a part of her blog community since I started quilting a couple of years ago. What a difference it has made.
I have been posting on the 15 Minutes blog since last fall. I try to use up all my scraps this way. This method has upped my creativity and made me less worried about making things that are perfect..
I love scraps and even buy other people’s scraps to have more to play with. I’d love to add this book to my library.
I have never heard of Victoria until I saw someone else mention this book on their blog just a few days ago. I like to play with fabric in so many ways – mostly I make mini quilts, which is a great way to try new techniques and/or fabric combinations, but when I make a larger quilt, I try to fit in a little play on the backing if the front is more formal.
Need to use all my scraps and Victoria’s book would be a great resource.
I love new ideas. I’m always needing them
COMMENT #37
I love to play with scraps, just like this. Funny, but I have been making very similar blocks and shapes for several years. The concept behind the book is a good one for the “mindless” sewing time it offers. Thanks for the chance to win.
My current favorite play is to make spider web blocks with my quilt strings.
I would love to win a copy of the book. Thanks for the giveaway.
I’ve followed Victoria’s blog for a long time & I’m always in awe of her quilts. Maybe 2013 will be a good year to start my 15 min of play!
I like visiting blogland to get inspiration for putting together fabric. Thanks for the chance to win.
Love Victoria’s work, so inspiring! Bold, fun colors!
Count me in as wanting this book. Victoria just exudes inspiration. If it had a smell that is what Victoria would smell like and that would be wonderful. thanks for a chance to win.
I don’t have a website of my own, so I hope this works.
I would love to be the winner.
Thanks for the opportunity.
I’ve got a machine set up in the room with my fabric. I have bins with all my scraps in …separated by colors. I pull scraps from one color & sew them randomly together until I get a piece of “fabric” big enough to square up to 12 1/2″. Each time I set down to sew I pull from another color. When I have enough to make a king quilt, I’llsew them together for a “rainbow of scraps” quilt. This is my 15 min of sewing method….although it’s more like 30min!
I haven’t really played with fabric yet, I’m just a beginner. But this book gives me lots of ideas!
My all time favorite way to play with fabric: toss all the scraps together, throw it up in the air, and then see how it falls to display itself.
This book looks like it will be so much fun to play with! Thanks for the opportunity to win a copy.
I would love to have one of Victoria’s books. I have used several of her ideas and love them. I have 2 totes of scraps just waiting to be played with.
Picking it out! For quilting, of course. Finishing a project is right up there, too. This book looks wonderful. Thank you for taking part in this giveaway.
I don’t even have to sew with fabric! Looking at my fabric stash, dreaming what I will do with, feeling the different textures, seeing the colors….I just love it! Thank you.
My favourite way to play with fabric is to sew random strips together to make scrappy bindings (pressing all the seams open so it’s not too bulky). That usually triggers the design of another quilt.
I like to sew some completely different fabrics together, cut them up and then sew them back together again, usually turns out quite beautiful! I want this book!
Learning to try new things with quilting is my way to play. Would love to win this book!!
I would love to win the book and work my way through the projects.
Putting scraps in a bag & just grabbing & sewing them together as they come out – that’s really fun to me!
Thanks for the chance to win this book!!
When I play with fabric, I love playing with crumbs and “making fabric”. I haven’t tried Victoria’s methods yet, so my scraps and I would love to win this book! Thanks for the opportunity!
I usually follow a pattern and play with the colors, but I need to loosen up and join in Victoria’s 15 min real play! Thank you!
I grab a stack of fabrics – often fat quarters – from a favorite collection. Then I see what else I have in my stash that might want to play along. I add and subtract until I have a palette that excites me. Sometimes I already have a pattern in mind, or sometimes I let the stack tell me what it wants to be. I often alter the pattern to suit my tastes. Then it’s off to the cutting table we go!
I would love to win this book to help me create something “outside the box” of my usual quiltmaking process. Thank you for the chance to enter and win!
What a great giveaway – thanks for hosting and count me in – I’d love to win her book! My fave way to play is log cabin blocks, wonky style ~

Victoria is such an inspiration, I’d love to win a copy of her book.
Maybe I will get lucky!
I would love to win this book. Victoria’s quilts are fabulous and I would love some of that to rub off on me! I try to do a little everyday but the days I work I never seem to be able to find the time. I have a bunch of projects to work on but none have been finished in awhile.
I now give myself permission to play!
My favorite way to play with fabric is making anything for a family member. Thanks for the chance to win!
I am new to quilting and making 9 patches used to be just about my favorite thing to do. But, since I started on Bonnie Hunter’s mystery quilt, I have discovered making flying geese and that’s my new favorite. She did a tutorial on making them with the Easy Angle ruler and the Companion Angle ruler. They really come out great that way!
Does walking the aisles at the fabric store count as play? Because that is what I really enjoy doing….just looking at fabrics, enjoying their colors and patterns, the tactile sensations, and envisioning the possibilites!
I am a quilter, my favorite way to play with fabric is to cut it into pieces and sew it back together in a different arrangement. I call it quilting.
My favorite way to play with fabric is to hand piece a complicated design. When I hand piece, the fabric is literally in my hand and watching a beautiful design develop out of bits and pieces is amazing!
my favorite way to play with fabric is to quilt and make things for my grand kids.
Yes…count me in for what looks to be a great book!!
Some of my best playing with fabric comes when I’m putting away fabrics I had gathered to audition for a project — and more ideas start forming.
I really like the analogy of the “sister act” of traditional and modern — and I find myself wandering back and forth between the two worlds. I definitely want to carve that fifteen minutes out of my day — can I wait until after Christmas?! I set aside my scraps and periodically “make fabric” with them — just not as often as I would like! I, too, have purchased small bags of scraps that belonged to other people — I find it adds a lot of variety to what I have.
I love any way of playing with fabric, any time! I’m inspired to make time every day now! Thank you for the giveaway!
I love the results of your play! And I’d love to win this book. Thanks for offering the giveaway.
Nancy at joy for grace
COMMENT #76
I like to try new color combinations and make scrappy blocks. Thanks for the chance to win a copy.
I love putting the fabrics together create something beautiful…strings, patches or wholecloth…gives me so much pleasure!
I think I have to be taught how to play with fabric, hehe. I have not just grabbed fabric and sewed, cut and sewn again. I don’t have a specific area set up other than the dining room table so when I have my machine out, I’m usually working on something specific. Currently my playing with is just folding, unfolding and refolding, hehe.
Thank you and Victoria for an awesome giveaway and a chance to win.
I like to play with fabric initially just by fondling, then auditioning my favorites…I have a hard time cutting them up, though!!!
I love to attack my scrap basket and just sew together “made” fabric, and then use it in a quilt!
My favorite fabric play is lib houses.
sounds like so much fun….and inspiring…who doesn’t need that!
This looks like a great book.
I love to patchwork quilt.
What a fascinating book, would enjoy working with it. I just love fabric – I always have to touch it before I decide what to do with it.
I have been reading Victoria’s blog’s for a while and love her freedom in piecing. My favorite way to play with fabric is to choose a palate of scraps and just sew them together.
Truly my most favorite thing to do with fabric is make bags ~ and lately I’ve been doing patchwork ones. And, of course, quilts. I really enjoy doing patchwork, using little pieces and this book looks like a lot of fun!
Thanks so much for the giveaway!
I would love this book! There are days when I am unable to sew due to health problems however it does not keep me from playing with my fabric. I will sit down with a stack of fabric and fold & unfold, organize by color & basically just touch the fabric feeling its smooth texture in my hands. Very therapeutic. I tell my son that fabric is actually just my toys and I am indeed playing. 🙂
COMMENT #88
I love scrap quilt and lately have really been enjoying crazy quilts with just al cotton fabrics in them. Great way to use scraps!

If I don’t win a copy of 15 Minutes of Play it’s going on my Christmas list. I do alot of sewing but not alot of playing.
Thanks for the chance!
My favorite way to play is to find fun combinations to make into pillows. A nice small project for fun.
HI! I LIKE TO JUST LAY OUT DIFFERENT FABRICS ON EACH OTHER TO DECIDED COLOR +DESIGN CHOICES!
I definitely want this book as I need to practice playing with my fabric. Currently I think too long before I cut and sew so getting into the habit of 15 minutes of play would be fun and more productive.
I like to take fabrics from my stash and see what color combos I can make. Then try to find a pattern to show off the fabrics.
I like doing fusible applique and foundation paper piecing. Looking forward to learning some new ideas from Victoria’s book. I have a U.S. mailing address.
Oh, the quilts you shared from ideas in this book are stunning. LOVE the color combos. Thanks for a chance to win a copy of this book for myself.
I am piecing my smallest scraps on 3″ wide paper strips. They are sorted into dark and light, and then joining up the strips in courthouse steps style to create a scrappy stash trail. Check it out here … Now that I see Scott’s favourite pick above – I could also do that with my strips. http://www.flickr.com/photos/18091623@N08/8174330636/in/photostream
COMMENT #97
I have really been enjoying playing with my scraps lately! No pressure at all!
I have been following Victoria’s blog 15 Minutes of Play. I love what she is able to accomplish with bits and pieces of scraps. Amazing. I have not played with the 15 minute philosophy but someday want to. I am afraid my playing with fabric thus far has been pretty structured…. I try to add my own twist to a pattern or design some of my own patterns for quilts. I don’t feel like I have a handle on the color combinations that look stunning when in a finished quilt. I think Victoria”s book would help me overcome that. I would love to win Victoria’s book. Thank you for a chance. Janita
COMMENT #99
I like to play with fabric by taking little bits leftover from larger quilts, fitting them together, and making dollie quilts. My grandnieces like to play with these. Now, I would like to learn Victoria’s techniques for making large quilts and learn her 15 minutes of play approach.
My favorite way to ‘play’ with fabric is scrap quilting! I love to make ‘crumb blocks’ which resemble Victoria’s method. Thanks for the opportunity to receive one of her books.
I like to play around with color and fabric combinations. I like having at least one element that is a surprise or that almost doesn’t fit.
Play with fabric? I’ve forgotten what that is.
If I could carve out 15 min, I think I’d like to try me some paper piecing. I’m afraid of it. I think I’d like to tackle my bin of scraps, too. This book would be good for me.
I like to look at the collections at online stores and imagine a pattern that suits to a fabric. Then it can change up to twenty times:)
This book looks so exciting! My fingers and toes are crossed to win a copy! Thank you for a chance to win! I love the freedom of improv piecing, especially it’s outcome with mono chromatic colors! It is so exciting to see the patchwork that is created when different prints and solids meld together to become a new entity…
COMMENT #105
I don’t really know how to play with fabrics. I put my pieces next to each other in order to see how they go together, I sketch a pattern and that’s it.
I’ve never played with fabric as in this book. Seems that I’m lacking something… 🙂 Keep my fingers crossed, I hope to be the lucky one!
Love Victoria’s Blog too! I have learned to make fabric from my scraps there….is soooo cool!! Guess that’s the “main” way I play with fabric…tho I love laying it all out & deciding what I want to do next. Scraps are my favorite playin tho! (save alllllll of em! lol)
Thank you for chance to win this book!! 🙂
COMMENT #107
I don’t usually play with fabric
but, I have a mountain of scraps and I love the grey quilt you picture
COMMENT #108
When choosing colors for a new quilt, I love to take a bunch of fat quarters out and set them out on the floor to see what the best choices would be. I always tell my husband that I’m playing in my sandbox! I would love to win a copy of this book…thanks for the opportunity!
I usually have a picture in my head about what I’m wanting to make, but the getting there part always changes, depending on which piece of fabric I grab next! I love to see the play of colors against each other, and am always surprised how things I didn’t think went together well, look great together! I love that surprise!
I love to make quilts, mini’s to bed quilts and many things inbetween. Some day’s its good to just pet my fabric. I love the thought of making 15 minutes of dedicated time to create. I may decide to my that my New Year’s resolution. I wonder if that were that case, what would I have to show for it this time next year?
What a great looking book. We all need to restart our inspirations. Hope I can add this to my holiday readings.
I love free-form piecing! And I know this book would give me some new ideas. Oh please, oh please, oh please…
COMMENT #113
My favorite way to play with fabric, and one of my very favorite parts of quilting, is to pull fabric out and pile it on the floor. I don’t censor, I don’t question, I just reach for what feels right. Later on there is a lot of editing, but the editing is hard and rich because so much treasure has been pulled out and tossed into piles of fabric.
I really want to know more about making the fabrics!
Her work is absolutely stunning! She is such an inspiring fabric artist. Thanks for the chance to win!
My favourite thing is to join strips of fabric, all different widths, straight and lop-sided, to make a new ‘fabric’ which I then can use to cut other shapes out of. Thankyou.
My favorite way to play is just feeling the fabrics and moving them around until a combination ‘clicks” for me. I’m new to quilting so i don’t have a lot of scraps yet….I have to get over my fear of cutting into the fabrics that are so delicious looking and full of so much potential!! I wonder if Victoria addresses this in her book….cutting up fabric in order to make new fabric? If so, I need help to make the leap! 🙂
COMMENT #118
My favorite way to play with fabric is improv piecing with and idea of what I want, but no real plan – just wing it!
I tend to be a traditional pieces but I’ve recently moved and just rediscoveres how many scraps I really have and need to do more piecing like this. I think this book will be very helpful for me.
I’m a fondler of fabric! When I have time, I tend to be a traditionalist…
COMMENT #121
Most recently I have been learning how to mix up my stash to achieve scrappy. And I also divided my scraps by colors and made a rainbow scrappy quilt. Loved it and must do it again. Victoria’s book is awesome!
Yes, I love electronic books! I can print off the page I need and write all my changes/colors right on it and not worry about ruining my book!! Thank you! And 15 Minutes of play is my goal for 2013 and this book with help it right along. Thank you
COMMENT #123
My favorite way to play with fabric is to put different prints and colors together and see what works or doesn’t work for me. Thank you for this great giveaway for this most interesting book. It is making me curious as to what is on the inside.
Have a super great sewing and stitching day!
I have piles of scraps. Looks like I need to get playing!
When I see a pattern, block or quilt I am interested in I run to my stash and start pulling out fabrics until I find the ones I want to use and then get to arranging, cutting and sewing.
I love to quilt! I mostly quilt with traditional piecing using brighter colors. I love the looks of improvisational quilting so this book will help get over the fear. Thanks!
Feel it! Thanks for the chance to win!
I like to pull out all my fabrics and arrange and re-arrange them. I guess that is really PRE-play instead of actual play.
How fun is this!!
i love to collect a bucket of scraps and make crumb blocks while i watch a movie, VERY relaxing!
Fave way to play? Hard to say; there are so many! One of my go-to’s when I have just a few minutes, but an urge to MAKE something, gosh-darnit, is to make a wonky log cabin. Just go round and round til I have to stop (the pasta is boiling over, the kids are fighting, the phone rings, etc.), then I can pick it up again later. Good start for lots of other projects. And satisfying!
I love this book…it looks like such fun! I have actually been doing the 15 minute thing on my blog with a “just for me” project. Somehow the “just for me’s” get lost in the deadlines and I starting giving myself 15 minutes a day for a project of Bonnie Hunter’s I’ve been wanting to do. Thanks for hosting and sharing the results of your playtime.
My favorite play with fabrics is auditioning the fabrics!
I love all the bright colors available but I tend to stick to blues.
I like to ‘pet’ my new fabric before I put it away…

I like how so many different colors look wonderful together in those quilts.

Scrap quilts are my favorite and this looks like a fun way to use my scrap stash!

Does taking it out and reorganizing count as my favorite way to play? LOL It always gives me a chance to find “treasures” I’d forgotten. Thanks for the chance to win!

Sometimes I get a bit hung up on “getting it right” with quilt blocks, so I step back and work on a quilt that is “blind auditions. My 5 yr old son helps to blindly pull a scrap out of the brown bag, and THAT is my next piece. Kinda drives me nuts that I don’t have control of it. And I have to admit, some blocks went from scrappy to crappy, but I still used them, and they blended right in 🙂

My favorite way to play with fabric is making an art quilt. Earlier this year i finished a cake/cupcake quilt for my daughter, and that was very satisfying.

My favorite way to play with fabric is to pick a color scheme and pull out all the FQ’s (folded into 5″x5″ squares) or stacks in that color scheme from my stash and try to decide what sort of quilt I would make with it. Unfortunately, this leaves fabric all over my sewing room and doesn’t actually make any progress on a quilt. Victoria’s approach might be a solution!

I like using scraps to make different blocks.

My favourite way to play is to just do it! Sometimes we put everything else first and we shouldn’t. The concept of just 15 minutes play is brilliant and thanks for the chance of winning this book.

I love to cut up my scraps. Sometimes I spend too much time doing that instead of quilting. Crazy, huh. I’d love the book.

I generally start pulling fabrics for a project by selecting a “focus fabric” that has lots of colors in it, and then start yanking pieces from my stash to see how it works…. it’s very comical that generally, when the dust settles and the fabrics stop flying, I am a million miles from where I started and the vision has evolved into something much more tangible!

This looks like a book I must have! I love to play with scraps.

My favourite way to play is to try experimenting with different colour combinations!

I love quilting. Not only do I get to play with fabric while making a quilt, but then I can wrap myself up in fabric when the weather is chilly.

What a good question to ask us! My favorite way is to take a pile of small scraps and strips, straighten the edges and sew them into groups. I like working in all shades of one color. Then I’ll add another color to make a quilt that is both liberated and traditional in style. Also love Gwen Marston’s liberated blocks, and I’ve done some of Victoria’s “making fabric”. Her book is the inspiration that I’m looking for to work more in V’s style.

My favorite way to play is to spend time feeling, cutting, and piecing fabric. I would love a chance to win Victoria’s book.

Oh just about any way but doing work is my favorite
