Dear Folks at Generation Q Magazine,
Ok..I have now read this magazine cover to cover and really like it however I am encountering some difficulties with the web site! I worked at Checkers with Lisa Archer. She was the one who told me about the magazine and that her Bib would be in it. How to I get to the web extras to find the step by step directions and embroidery files? I can’t find the pattern for Q – Bie Brain either. I usually don’t have this much trouble..what am I doing wrong? Thank you!
In good Stitching,
Chris Dickinson

Hi Chris:

It’s not you. It’s us. We start releasing the patterns on the website/blog shortly after the on-sale date, which was August 20. We stagger them so we can give each pattern a strong push through our social media. Right now, the two patterns on the website are the Q-bie Brain and Baubles & Bangles. Megan, our web goddess, just created a new tab called “Playdates”. ALL of our posted patterns can be found there, listed under the magazine in which they appeared. By the end of next week, the remaining patterns should be up there for you. If you sign up for our blog to come to you by email (no charge and we’re not sending you anything else) and/or “like” our Facebook page, you be notified as soon as the next one is up there.

So hang in there. We are horrible teases, we know, but we really want to push LIsa’s adorable bib well.

Many quilted hugs,

Hi. Looking for templates for Winter Trees Piloow, page 60 in Nov/Dec 2013 issue. Also, maybe it’s just on my computer, but the large picture which I assume is the cover isn’t displaying.

Since I’ve been a needlewoman for many years and began in the counted thread embroidery area, I have been using Udderly Smooth Udder Cream. It is grease less and stainless, and almost odor free. It absorbs quickly, leaving no residue on my projects. Find information about this at

Do you have your magazine available at any local fabric stores? Kansas City metro area.

Hi, Sunshine, A number of online stores carry us. And in your area, Harper’s was considering stocking us on a regular basis. Let the staff at Harper’s–or whatever LQS you frequent–know you’re interested in finding us. And you can always buy single copies and subscriptions from our website. Thanks for your interest!
