Hey, Q-bies!

We’ve got some sweet, quilty treats coming your way this week. Here’s a glimpse of just some of what you’ll find on Generation Q magazine’s blog in the next few days. Tune in every weekday to get your dose of Gen Q, or better yet, subscribe and the daily GenQ-ness will just land in your e-mail in-box. How easy is that?!

Monday, July 18

She calls herself the Bitchy Stitcher, but we love her anyway. Our very own Megan Dougherty, formerly the humorist for Quilter’s Home magazine, continues to dish out the sass in her new Gen Q column, Unravelled. Today’s subject? “My mom and I debate modern quilting.”

Tuesday, July 19

Q-niverse…News you need, including Alliance for American Quilts’ Meg Cox, who holds forth on the upcoming “Quilters Take Manhattan” event in New York Aug. 5-6. Plus the much talked-about Stitched film by videographer Jena Moreno. (A documentary about quilting, huh? So. Much. Fun.)

Wednesday, July 20

I Am GenQ…An interview with Alissa Haight Carlton, one of the mamas of the modern quilting movement and a co-founder of the Modern Quilt Guild. Melissa Thompson Maher lobs the questions, and Alissa serves it right back.

Thursday, July 21

Gimme!…New products, gadgets and stuff you’ve just gotta have.  Including Superior’s Heavy Weight Quilter’s Silk, Paula Reid’s Batt Wings Snips, and Izzy & Ivy’s fun Sprinkles labels for your little-girl duds.

Friday, July 22

GenQ Wants You…We can’t do this alone, people! Get ready to sharpen your pens and polish your keyboards, ‘cuz we’re going to have some fun with a hot topic, and you get to participate! PLUS…..A giveaway! Would YOU like to win a Moda Tower? Well, tune in and learn how!
