Happy Weekend, Q-bies!
Scott Hansen of Blue Nickel Studios (and also the GenQ cabana boy and advertising manager) has picked a few tidbits to keep you in the GenQ mood until our weekday wheel starts turning again.
Quilt of the week
Normally, Scott says he prefers prints over solids, but he does find something freeing about an all-solids quilt, specifically this beauty from Upstatelisa. “To paraphrase Gwen Marston, solids never go ‘outdated,’ so there is something ‘classic’ about them,” he says. “What really drew me deeper into this quilt was that it was hand quilted and the linked blog post regarding its creation was filled with a great love for the creation. And it had a pieced back, which the hand quilting also looks wonderful on….”
