Ready to jump into the  paper-piecing precision waters? Read all about this traditional-but-so-hot-again technique  in our June-July 2o13 issue, and then take the plunge with this table runner by Robin Koehler of Nestlings By Robin.  Get the full pattern here.  (But we do recommend you save the real martini for after your sew-session.) Enjoy!

OK, these paper piecing directions are confusing.
“Sew 1 and 2 together for left Unit A. Trim seam to ¼”, press flat. Add 3. Trim and press flat. Repeat for all 6 Unit A sections.”
The PP units on the pattern have no numbers or letters – and there are only 2 sections for the left sections & 2 sections for the right side, and one of the individual sections of each side has 4 pieces. I can figure out the order to sew in, but if someone hasn’t done much paper piecing, this would make even less sense – what is Unit A & what happened to 4?
