Playdate: Patty’s Perfect Pillow Cover

by melissa on November 30, 2012

Aren’t these cushy, colorful pillows just glorious? Would you drool any less if we told you they can change in a heartbeat, with a mere 1/2 yard WOF cut? They can, that is, if you use a quick-change method perfected by Patty Young of MODKID Boutique. She uses this method to frequently change out the pillows in her Bloomington, Illinois home, whenever the craving for new color hits. (Which is pretty often, for this veteran who designs her own patterns, ribbons and other graphics, and licenses her fabric collections to Michael Miller Fabrics.)

We share Patty’s sleek, modern home with you in the Winter 2012 issue of GenQ, now available in shops, online and on newsstands. And we promised to share her zippy pillow cover method, too. So, just follow this link to learn how to make a few quick-change pillow covers of your own. And don’t forget to pick up a copy of Winter 2012 GenQ and see more of Patty’s domestic magic, as well as our other fun articles and Playdates.
