Post of the Week:
Pat Bravo and crew have crossed a milestone and this week they blogged about it here. Because we are hitting some milestones ourselves, we thought we’d share Art Gallery Fabrics’ moment here with you, as well. Jake sent me over there to check out the goings-on at the freshly reworked AGF site, and well, there are a lot! For one, it’s very user-friendly with lots of drop-down menus and a large assortment of topics. There is inspiration on every screen!Their videos really draw me in (and no wonder, because I’m a child of the MTV golden age back when they had actual Music Videos). I also found that she had some great tips and in-depth tutorials that look helpful, particularly for the dreaded zipper installation process. And there’s solid info on needles (stuff I should read, but tend to ignore). We love seeing a business that started out from the ground up do well. We plan on being in that same group as time goes on here at Generation Q.
Quilt of the Week:
Sometime around the beginning of this year, I joined the Mendocino Quilt Pact 2012. So far I have pulled out the beginning of a quilt and some fabrics I swapped with a friend, and since then they are probably right where I left them, safely protected by another layer of fabric. But Jeni of In Color Order actually has accomplished something and completed this wonderful wonky log cabin quilt. Quilted, bound, and everything. Jeni’s been working on this project for about a year and a half, and she blitzed through it this year to finish and get on her bed just in time for summer, you know, mermaid season. Read all about it here on her blog. Love the backside of it too!!
