Sunday Teaser

Happy Sunday, Q-Bies…

Did you soak up some autumn sunshine today? Or are you basking in the rays of your sewing machine light? However you’ve “spent” your weekend hours, we hope you get a fine ROI.

And speaking of good investments, we’ve got a great story line-up next week…well worth the investment of some on-line time. Tune in early and often, so you don’t miss a thing. Better yet, subscribe to the RSS feed!

BTW, if you’re heading to the Pacific International Quilt Festival in Santa Clara, CA,  Oct. 13-16, keep an eye peeled for GenQer Jake. She’ll be gliding around the aisles, sniffing out great trends and news to share with you, me and everyone. If you see her, say hi. Better yet, buy her a Vitamin Water with caffeine! She could probably use the boost.

Now, sychnronize your calendars…

Monday, October 10–IN THE Q-UNIVERSE: Tattoo Crossover…..Some traditional quilters celebrate their love of patchwork by wearing pieced garments, but edgier ones, well, they skip the garment and go straight for the skin.

Tuesday, October 11–I AM GEN Q: Jacquie Gering of Tallgrass Prairie Studio. This designer and co-founder of the Modern Quilt Guild is planting new roots in urban Chicago, and marveling at the changes in her life (and work).

Wednesday, October 12–PLAYDATE: Art Gallery Fabrics’ shining light, Pat Bravo, has created a table runner that you’ll definitely want to stitch up for your own table. Just trust us on this.

Thursday, October 13–CUTS: Is it us, or do the new fabric release seem especially yummy? We’ll highlight a select few collections.

Friday, October 14–MODERN MIX BLOG TOUR: Company’s coming! Author and designer Jessica Levitt dishes a little about herself and her fab new book. And we give her a chance to flex her design muscles with a signature Scott Hansen “starter squiggle” that we’ve asked her to turn into an original block design. Oh, and there will be prizes. Be there!
