I am looking for a certain material can I get a number and send a picture of the materail to you all we need it for a baby quilt this material is not available in my area
Go ahead and post it on our Facebook page. That way the our readers can see it.
I happened across a link to your website on a Quilt store website and I’m been roaming your webpages for quite a while, not sure where the time went, fascinating and I am truly appalled that I managed to miss finding out about a new quilting magazine. I rarely subscribe because my income can fall short so often of basic living needs that my buying going in fits and starts but from the newsstand I have purchased every quilt mag available in the USA for many years now . . . my sons can attest to how many 100′s of boxes of quilt mags and books they’ve had to help me move . . . I couldn’t tell if you could “play” the playdates thing if you’re not a subscriber . . . although I may need to subscribe if I can’t find you mag in a local store which is a challenge in a small town . . . . thank you as always to ALL quilting mag publishers, I love you all, you help fuel my imagination and you stuff my UFO box, I love it all and I actually do have any idea that seems would make a good playdate . . . oh, and another question, is there any challenge with the playdates? like everyone making and showing their version?
I have seen the nov/ dec magazine in quilt shops. Have they been sent to subscribers? If I still have not received mine.
Please let me know.
Thank you
Joanne Kamper
Hi Joanne! All subs were mailed out last week by Bulk Mail. Bulk takes a little longer, but if you don’t see yours by next week late let me know. jake@generationqmagazine.com
I would like to make the pillow Winter trees pillow in your November December issue, but cannot find the pattern that was to be on your web site. Could you please help me? Thank you. Edna
I paid via paypal.
Holly, I resent your issue. Can you please confirm when you receive it? Thanks. Jake@generationqmagazine.com
I’ve been following your print mag for a few months & so far I love it! I’ve shared during a few classes & with friends so much many are asking for Christmas subscriptions!!!
But on to my question…
Have you done any articles on rolling sewing machine totes? When I purchased my Janome I needed something to lug this machine around in so I purchased a Hemline trio that I loved but it really didn’t handle the moving in & out of the SUV very well. Now that I’m in the market for a new rolling tote I started some research & really couldn’t find much out there.
Thank you
W: That is a great suggestion! I will get the Test Drive team together to look into this. I will share that after much research myself several years ago I bought two bags from Tutto. One is a rolling lime green medium machine bag that holds a ton of stuff and my Janome Gem and the other is their overlock bag, which I use to cart fabric and supplies. I haven’t regretted the decision and the bags go with me all over the place, but I don’t usually fly with them. -Jake
I just picked up the Nov/Dec issues and there is a pattern on Page 61 for Winter Tree Pillows. It says that the templates are here on the website. However, I don’t see a link for them, and when I search for templates nothing comes up. Where are they?
Where are the templates to be found for the Winter Tree Pillow by Amy garro that is i n your Nov -Dec issue 2013? Thankyou.
Hello, In your recent issue, there was article on hand sewing needles. I was wandering if you have tried Clover Black Gold needles. I first saw them in a Japanese Craft sewing book. They are wonderful! I was surprised not to see them in the article. I do not sell them or anything, I just love to hand sew. I showed the quilters here and they loved them too.
When you first take up a new craft, you look to others and use what they use. So your articles mean a lot to newbies.
Thanks for your time,
MaryBeth
MaryBeth, Thanks for the lead! In the next issue, we’ll share your suggestion about Clover Black Gold needles. very best, mjtm
I’ve been on your website (love it) and cannot figure out how to BLOG about my favorite applique method (needle turn). That is, if I JUST HAVE TO APPLIQUE. For a chance to win Jenifer Dicks’ latest applique book. Thank you
Hi there
Can you tell me where I can buy the magazine in the Uk please?
Hi, Laura!
Your best bet might be to purchase us from an online shop. Here are the online shops that current offer us: Canton Village Quilt Works http://www.cvquiltworks.com/shop; eQuilter http://www.equilter.com; Fat Quarter Shop http://www.fatquartershop.com; Happy Apple Quilts http://www.happyapplequilts.com; Mad About Patchwork http://www.madaboutpatchwork.com;
Quilt Home quilthome.com.
As for a stockist in the UK, maybe you can suggest someone? We’d be glad to reach out and let them know they’ve got GenQ-hungry locals.

I cannot find the link to the pattern for the Katydid bag on the website. I have the magazine with the instructions but need the paattern pieces. Any suggestion would be appreciated. I am sure it is there I just am not clicking on the right place.
Love your magazine, but I just got 2 copies in the mail. I will give the extra copy to a friend. I renewed my subscription and it may just be a fluke.
Thanks and keep up the good work!
Kirsten
Enjoy the extra Q-love Kirsten, and do please share? I did have you on the list twice.-Jake
I would like to pre-order Stitch ‘n Swap. How do I do that?
Nancy Sullivan
Nancy, Stitch ‘n Swap can be ordered through the C & T website now and on our website on or about May 1st.
Teri
I am just wondering when the web extras for the May-June 2014 will be available? I am referring to emerald TAD and code pillow trio. Thanks Susan
Hi Susan:
The pillows are up there now and the Emerald TAD quilt is coming in the next couple of days. Thanks for your patience!
Came to the site to download the great patterns for the pillows and quilt on page 45. to my disappointment they don’t seem to be available on the website. Could patterns be made available for a longer period of time?
If you can let me know which ISSUE you’re referring to, I can send them to you. It may not have been taken down. It’s more likely we didn’t post it and that needs to be fixed, but we have 11 issues and I don’t know which one you’re trying to find.
Thanks,
Jake

Hi: I ordered a subscription a couple of weeks ago and haven’t received a magazine yet. Can you give me a clue how long this might take? Thanks for your help, Mary Dimmock
Hi Mary:
All orders and subs were brought to the post office yesterday. Subscriptions go via Bulk Mail and can take up to two weeks to receive. Be on the lookout! I recognize your name so I know it was in the batch. If you don’t see it after two weeks, let me know by email and I’ll resend it First Class. Thanks! jake@generationqmagazine.com.
In regards to the templates for the airplane quilt, the link appears to be broken.
I just tried the link and it appears to be fine. If you’re still having trouble, email me directly and I’ll send it to you. jake@generationqmagazine.com

I want to subscribe and receive my subscription in the mail (snail mail) I like to have the magazine “in my hand”. My daughter introduced me to your magazine this summer, loved it and I bought it at Barnes & Noble in Phoenix. It is not available at our local Barnes and Noble in Corpus Christi, TX (not a surprise, really!). I keep trying to subscribe but seem to only get purchase single issues or an e-mail subscription. Help, please!
Thanks,
Hi Carlene:
I just answered you directly by email. Thanks for wanting us!
I thought I was getting my daughter a subscription for my daughter for Christmas. This is the Receipt No: 5571-6903-0111-5404 that I was given. Did I do this right. Neither of us have heard from you. Please let me know. Thankyou, Vivian Sexton
Hi Vivian:
The orders went out right before Christmas. The gift orders had a note included saying that it was a gift. If she doesn’t have it by this weekend, please email directly at jake@generationqmagazine.com and I’ll make it better. Thank you!
How do I find the instructionsfor Madern Butterfly from the March/April 2014 Issue.
The link published gets me your “surfing” error message.
Sylvia, I’ll email you the link. I’m sorry you’re having trouble. Apologies for any inconvenience.
