Tracy Mooney, Associate Editor and Kitten Wrangler
At the age of four, a “keep the little one busy” project made me think I was making a quilt. Little did I know this would create a lifelong obsession! When I was pregnant with my first son, I finally followed through on the itch to stitch, and I’ve been cutting, piecing and quilting ever since. I have been quilting for 22 years (yikes!), although my husband would say more obsessing and less quilting. What can I say? I am an “all things quilting” junkie. I love books, quilt shows, blogs, you name it. If it is about quilting, I want in! I have also been a professional actress and McAfee’s Chief Cyber Security Mom. My dream is to one day combine quilting and acting into one and have my own quilting show – it will be like the quilty version of Top Gear, ’cause I’m a nerd like that!
I grew up in New Jersey, lived in Boston for 13 years (go Red Sox!), Los Angeles for four and now I live just outside of Chicago. I share my thread-filled life with my darling hubby of 24 years, three kids who grace the pages of GenQ on occasion, a dog and a cat.
