Modern Elegance – 45+ Romantic Designs to Color for Fun & Relaxation Illustrated by Amanda Murphy C&T Publishing Book $14.95; e-book $9.99
Grab your coloring pencils, crayons, or markers, a cup of coffee or something a wee bit stronger, to sit down and relax and do a bit of coloring in this beautiful, elegant coloring book illustrated by Amanda Murphy. The designs, one per page, range from simple diamonds to intricately detailed leafy/floral chrysanthemum-like designs with great space to fill in with color that makes our hearts go pitter-pat.
These illustrations give us a little more in creating beautiful embroidery designs for hand work. Transfer the design using your favorite method, for a take on the road hand work project.
Amanda offers a tutorial on color and how to use it to enhance each one of the designs, making them your own.
The designs have more than one way to use them. Drawing a pencil over the designs will help you build free-motion machine quilting skill.
The most important bit, have fun. Enjoy filling in the designs with the colors you love.

Honestly, I love to color at the dining room table with my little ones. We all have fun and it is relaxing. I’ve never had an adult coloring book. Usually, I am coloring Precious Moments or some princess. 🙂 This book would be perfect to have.
