Welcome to the Doll Days! blog tour. I am lucky enough to write many of the book reviews that you find within the pages of GenQ. Perhaps you were not aware, however, that I LOVE American Girl Dolls. My daughter Cyd is often seen in WeSew2 and I have to admit that I helped to grow her doll and accessory collection. She has a few AG dolls and quite the wardrobe for them.
When I was asked to join the blog hop, I jumped at the chance. I have a tendency to collect things for a potential doll post, including books, patterns and small scale fabrics. Luckily, while at Quilt Market in Utah, I stopped by the Dear Stella booth and they offered me some fabric from their hot new designer, Rae Ritchie. I could not resist Foxtail Forest. It was screaming to be fussy cut!
The book is filled with great step-by-step photos that help you make these adorable designs and lots of tips on how to make your outfit come out looking great. If I can do it, believe me so can you. I made the Modern-Vintage Sundress from Erin’s new book. I think it came out pretty cute. What do you think?
And the best part? Cyd likes the dress so much she said she wished she had one like it. I let her take all the photos for this post – she did a great job.
Thank you Erin and C&T Publishing for inviting me to participate in the blog hop. The book is really great!
Thank you to Dear Stella fabrics for providing the fabric. You guys are the best!
Please check out the other bloggers and visit Erin’s post for information about winning a copy of the book.
