GenQ Community Editor Scott Hansen is on the move this weekend, appearing tomorrow only at the Sewing & Stitchery Expo in Puyallup, Washington, where thousands of stitchy types will gather for this massive needlework love fest.
And if you’re one of the estimated 30,000 expected to attend, you have a chance to win some quilterly loot. If you see Scott (cute, isn’t he?) strolling the aisles, rush right up to him and say “I am GenQ!” and he’ll hand you a genuine GenQ glam bag stuffed full of cool stuff we know you’ll love.
He’ll have only 50 of these glam bags, so you’ll need to act fast.
We’re aided and abetted in this giveaway by several industry friends. Our sincere thanks to the following companies (listed in no particular order), who have helped put the “glam” in this bit o’ fun:
Art Gallery Fabrics
That Patchwork Place/Martingale
Free Spirit Fabric
Sis Boom by Jennifer Paganelli
Pink Chalk
Pattern Spot
Fat Quarter Shop
Alicia’s Attic
Moda Fabrics
Robert Kaufman Fabrics
Fabricworm.com
Mod Kid Boutique
Scott might require a hug and a picture as further payment for your prize, but we figure that’s a foregone conclusion.
Have a great weekend!
Have You Kicked Us In The Pants Yet?
Unless you’ve been in a coma lately, you probably know that GenQ launched its Kickstarter appeal for funding to print the premier issue and appear at International Quilt Market inKansas City this May. (Use this handy link to see our project and check on its status.)
Early returns on our project have been, well, MIND-BLOWING! We’ve been blessed to receive more than $12,000—about 57% of our projected goal of $20,000—in just a few days. Thank you SO MUCH for your confidence in GenQ, and for stepping up to help us take this next step. Let’s just say the pledge rewards with fabric attached were hot hot hot! (And keep an eye out for new fabric rewards…the GenQ stash is almost endless.)
Our Kickstarter appeal stays live until midnight on April 17. And there are three important things to remember: 1) If we don’t meet our specified goal, we do not receive any of the pledges; 2) you are allowed to pledge again, if additional rewards catch your fancy; and 3) we are allowed to exceed our goal. (Sweet, huh?)
So thank you again for helping GenQ grow into print. We greatly appreciate each and every one of you!
