Playing with Lines and Perpetual Pattern Possibilities

Quilt of the Week

Linda Rotz Miller had a fun time making this wall-hugging quilt that really caught our eye with it’s movement and balance.   You can read a bit more about her process in making this on her Flickr page.  We love how the color brown has made a rich backdrop for the bright abstract print and the solid chains.

We love the modern grey and tangerine out there, but it sure is nice to see some other colors get their day in the sun as well.

Blog Post of the Week

This week Megan found this great “post of posts,” or  more accurately “perpetual tutorial Nirvana,” where Anne Marie of GenX Quilters has uploaded a ton of block tutorials (and invited readers to share their own) into one handy dandy post.  Over 130 blocks are there now, and who knows how it will grow as time goes on?  Definitely one of those “Oh, I’ve got to bookmark this post” right after your “Daniel Craig Pinterest” bookmark.  (Oh, we know you did that; don’t tell us it was your 19 year old daughter!)
